It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Yuba City had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Hollister Haybalers. The victory was familiar territory for the Honkers, who have now won 12 matches in a row.

Yuba City's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brody Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Wyatt Lane was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Yuba City pushed their record up to 29-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hollister, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-9.

Coming up, Yuba City will challenge Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Honkers 3.7, the Flames 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Hollister does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
