Football Recap: Cyrus Nielsen Leads Hillcrest's Defense on Thursday

Kearns came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Hillcrest, but K'Von Houston wouldn't allow it. The Huskies breezed past the Cougars to the tune of 38-0 on Thursday thanks in part to Houston, who threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 40 yards and one score. Hillcrest is 2-1 when Houston posts 300 or more passing yards, but 1-6 otherwise.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hillcrest's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Cyrus Nielsen was the leader with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 11.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Kearns, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Hillcrest nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
