Softball Recap: Grand Valley Wins Going Away Against Harding

Grand Valley won the last time they faced Harding and things went their way on Monday too. The Mustangs blew past the Skippers 13-4. Considering the Mustangs have won four games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Breanna Rowland was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Maddie Lowry-Stark was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Grand Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Harding, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grand Valley will challenge rival Mathews at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harding is set to square off against their familiar foe Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
