Volleyball Recap: Quad Cities Christian Comes Up Short

If Quad Cities Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Galesburg Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Pathway Christian Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Quad Cities Christian ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 11 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Quad Cities Christian still got an impressive performance from Jordan Britton, who had 16 digs and four assists. Britton is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Quad Cities Christian's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-11. As for Pathway Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Quad Cities Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against DePue on the 26th. Pathway Christian has also already played their next matchup (against Quad City Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
