Basketball Game Preview: Waukon Indians vs. Crestwood Cadets

Waukon has gone 9-1 against Crestwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Waukon Indians just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Crestwood Cadets at 6:45 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Waukon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against La Crescent, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 118th in Iowa, while the Lancers are ranked 402nd in Minnesota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Crestwood was able to grind out a solid win over New Hampton on Friday, taking the game 75-67. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Chickasaws recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Crestwood's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Waukon, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Waukon beat Crestwood 48-39 when the teams last played back in January. Will Waukon repeat their success, or does Crestwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
