Softball Recap: Glendale Victorious

While Glendale's win against Copper Canyon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Aztecs 15-14. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Aztecs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Reeanah Sesma was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (five). Tzintzuni Hernandez Garcia was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs.

Glendale's record is now 9-10. As for Copper Canyon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale will face off against Cortez at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Copper Canyon, they will challenge Lee Williams at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Aztecs will need to watch out since the Volunteers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
