Basketball Game Preview: Meade Mustangs vs. Annapolis Panthers

Meade has won three straight games at home, while Annapolis has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Meade Mustangs will host the Annapolis Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Meade beats Annapolis with 41 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Meade secured a 41-37 W over Southern on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Annapolis won against Severn School on Monday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Annapolis was the clear victor by a 44-22 margin over Northeast. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Annapolis' win came from a few key players Meade will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mckenzie Fuller, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine King, who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and six steals.

The win got Meade back to even at 6-6. As for Annapolis, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
