Basketball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Joliet Central Steelmen

The Minooka Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Joliet Central Steelmen at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Minooka had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt an 84-48 defeat at the hands of Lincoln-Way West on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since November 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, Joliet Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Lockport 96-34.

Minooka didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Joliet Central in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
