Basketball Recap: Port Jefferson Takes a Loss

Port Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Babylon Panthers, falling 59-32. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-27 back in December of 2024.

Babylon found their leader in sophomore Morgan Fiedler, who posted 15 points. Peyton Logue - Boyd was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Port Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Babylon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Port Jefferson has already played their next contest (against Southampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Babylon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-24 victory against Southold/Greenport on the 30th.
