Soccer Recap: Canyon del Oro Triumphs

Canyon del Oro won the last time they faced Marana and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Canyon del Oro Dorados beat the Marana Tigers by a goal, winning 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dorados as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ryan Schultz and Kamdyn Hemmah scored both of Canyon del Oro's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Canyon del Oro's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Marana, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon del Oro will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Marana also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Catalina Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Catalina Foothills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
