Softball Recap: Poland Seminary Comes Up Short

Poland Seminary managed to slip by LaBrae the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 11-4 to the Vikings on Monday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kylee Hudran and Avery Jakubovic stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hudran went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Jakubovic went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Poland Seminary has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for LaBrae, their record now sits at 19-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poland Seminary will welcome Lakeview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for LaBrae, they will square off against Jefferson Area at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
