Basketball Game Preview: Hillcrest Christian Saints vs. Grant Lancers

The Hillcrest Christian Saints will venture away from home to take on the Grant Lancers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Hillcrest Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Hillcrest Christian played against Beacon Hill and won via forfeit.

On Saturday, Grant came up short against Wiseburn- Da Vinci and fell 60-49. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while the Wolves are ranked 132nd).

Hillcrest Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Hillcrest Christian came up short against Grant in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 68-60. Can Hillcrest Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
