Recap: Westside Rams vs. Greenwood Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenville, the Westside Rams were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Greenwood 62-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Westside has posted against Greenwood since January 30, 2016.
Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Williams, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kmajay Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Greenwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cj Terrell, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Jeremiah Brooks was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Westside's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Greenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Westside will be playing at home against Easley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Easley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 243 points over their last four contests. As for Greenwood, they will head out on the road to take on Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
