Softball Recap: Topeka Trojans vs. Seaman Vikings
Topeka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 19-9 defeat at the hands of the Seaman Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Topeka of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Seaman's part, Rosalie Schneider was incredible, going 4-for-5 with a home run, six RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Warren, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Topeka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Seaman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Topeka will head out on the road to take on Shawnee Mission South on Friday. As for Seaman, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Turner at 5:30 p.m. Seaman is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
