Recap: Jefferson Raiders vs. Kentlake Falcons
The Jefferson Raiders's eight-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 68-55 victory over Kentlake. Jefferson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Josias Kpontont, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. He also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Alex Le was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Jefferson's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Kentlake, they bumped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Jefferson will take on Auburn Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Auburn Riverside is ranked 280th, while Jefferson is ranked 301st). Kentlake won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Prairie is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
