Basketball Recap: Cactus Shadows Piles Up the Points Against Sahuarita + How To Watch

Cactus Shadows won the last time they faced Sahuarita and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 74-44. With the Falcons ahead 39-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Sahuarita's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Durazo, who went 9-for-19 en route to 21 points and three steals. Durazo has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ruben Villalba, who posted ten points.

Cactus Shadows' win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Sahuarita, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Cactus Shadows is taking a road trip to challenge Crismon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sahuarita, they will be home for the holidays to greet Rincon/University at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
