Volleyball Recap: Nixon-Smiley Mustangs vs. Gonzales Apaches

Gonzales was led to victory by Blakely Mercer and Camarillo Hailey. Mercer had eight digs and three aces, while Hailey had five digs and three aces. The dominant performance gave Mercer a new career-high in aces.

Nixon-Smiley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Gonzales, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-17.
