Softball Recap: Jasper Triumphs

While Jasper's victory against Greenfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 22-21. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Crystal Smith, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Storm, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Jasper kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Jasper's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Greenfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

As of now, neither Jasper nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
