Softball Recap: Lake Lure Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Lure Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-8 to the Charity Christian Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 last Tuesday.

Brooke Arlidge was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base off of a hit. Rachael Rich was another key player, scoring a run off of a hit.

Lake Lure Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Charity Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lake Lure Classical Academy has already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Christian Family Academy on the 27th. Charity Christian has also already played their next game (against Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
