Volleyball Recap: Jack Britt Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Jack Britt and Fuquay - Varina squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Jack Britt had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. While the Buccaneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bengals 25-21 in the first set.

Jack Britt started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-21.

Karson Ives paced Jack Britt's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ives got some help from Sarah Badra and her 20 assists. Badra also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elynoeh Cuevas-Vidal, each putting up two.

Jack Britt has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Fuquay - Varina, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Jack Britt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fuquay - Varina, they will challenge Cardinal Gibbons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight.
