Preview: Three Way vs. Bluff Dale Bobcats
Three Way and the Bobcats are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. Three Way will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Bluff Dale Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Three Way has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Monday, Three Way took a serious blow against the Greyhounds, falling 68-33. Three Way has struggled against the Greyhounds recently, as their game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Bluff Dale's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-20 defeat at the hands of Strawn. Bluff Dale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Despite the loss, Bluff Dale saw an underclassman step up: Kallie Dotson scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Three Way dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bluff Dale, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Three Way, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-28 loss to the Bobcats in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bluff Dale's Bekah Gannon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Now that Three Way knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
