Football Recap: Denmark Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Denmark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 17-7 to the River Ridge Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Denmark of the 39-17 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Evan Jones threw for 115 yards on 11 of 18 attempts. Michael Palmieri was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards.

River Ridge was led to victory by Hunter Lockerman and Camden Cox. Lockerman threw for 222 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes, while Cox rushed for 103 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Lockerman a new career-high in passer rating (126.4).

Denmark's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for River Ridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denmark will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for River Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Allatoona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
