Volleyball Recap: West Union Eagles vs. Hickory Flat Rebels
West Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hickory Flat Rebels. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
West Union actually scored more points across those five sets (104-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-22, 13-25, 25-23, 15-9.
