It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Goodpasture Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the White House Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Goodpasture Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for White House, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Coming up, Goodpasture Christian will take on Springfield in a tournament on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for White House, they will take on Morristown-Hamblen West at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
