Basketball Recap: Faith West Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against St. Joseph Catholic on Tuesday, Faith West Academy came back down to earth. The Faith West Academy Eagles fell 64-56 to Houston Adventist Academy on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 49-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Ottis Crudup continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Houston Adventist Academy, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds. Crudup has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 36 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadeo Cedeno, who went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Faith West Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for Houston Adventist Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith West Academy will welcome FBCHA at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Houston Adventist Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Allen Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Houston Adventist Academy is facing Allen Academy at the right time seeing as Allen Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
