Bishop Brossart hadn't done well against Walton-Verona recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bearcats an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Mustangs have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

With the win, Bishop Brossart broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-8. As for Walton-Verona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Bishop Brossart will head out to square off against Dixie Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Walton-Verona, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
