Ridgemont proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Triad Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Gophers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Xavier Stuck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Ridgemont's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maverick Dawson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Ridgemont's record now sits at 9-11. As for Triad, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1.

Coming up, Ridgemont will look to defend their home field on Friday against Kenton at 5:00 p.m. As for Triad, they are taking a road trip to take on Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
