The Bergan Catholic Knights will challenge the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Bergan Catholic turned things around against Yutan on Thursday. They blew past the Chieftains 3-0. The Knights not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).
While Bergan Catholic might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Yutan scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-20.

Zoe Janke was nothing short of spectacular: she had 29 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in August.
Meanwhile, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge hadn't done well against Wynot recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bears walked away with a 2-0 win over the Blue Devils.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24.
Bergan Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, their win bumped their record up to 17-0.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: Bergan Catholic has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.9 aces per game. However, it's not like Laurel-Concord-Coleridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
