Softball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Bullitt East

Bullitt East put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Bullitt Eagles a 9-0 shutout. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Alivia Cooper was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Mollie Johnston, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bullitt East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Bullitt East pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Bullitt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Bullitt East will welcome Scott County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Bullitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
