Softball Recap: Vallivue Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbia last Friday, Vallivue came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nampa Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Evonny Gonzales led a balanced group of hitters, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Kenley Leuthold was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Vallivue's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Nampa, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Vallivue has already played their next game, a 16-6 victory against Burley on the 3rd. As for Nampa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Caldwell on the 3rd.
