Basketball Recap: Schuyler Comes Up Short

Schuyler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lakeview Vikings 60-28. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-11.

Lakeview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Bird out in front who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Hornung, who went 5 of 9 en route to 17 points.

Schuyler's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lakeview, they moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Schuyler has already played their next game (against Central City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lakeview will host Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakeview is on a five-game streak of home losses, Lexington a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change.
