Softball Recap: Rock Springs Sets Scoring Season-High Against South

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Springs). They put the hurt on the South Bison with a sharp 14-4 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the TIGERS considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Tarin Anderson, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Makyla Sweeney was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Rock Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rock Springs' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6-1. As for South, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rock Springs has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 loss against Wheatland on the 11th. Hopefully South payed attention to the TIGERS' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the TIGERS at 11:30 a.m. on the 26th.
