Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Science Point Takes a Loss

Chesapeake Science Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by the Arundel Wildcats 78-39. Chesapeake Science Point was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Chesapeake Science Point's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sho'N Lacy, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Laroche, who posted nine points.

Arundel found their leader in sophomore Chisom Eze, who went 8-for-11 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Eze now owns an excellent 51.1% field goal percentage. Javeon Reed was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points.

Chesapeake Science Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Arundel, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Chesapeake Science Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-36 defeat against Annapolis on the 12th. As for Arundel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-52 loss against Severna Park on the 14th.
