Soccer Recap: Sandia Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Sandia was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They came up short against the La Cueva Bears, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Sandia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while La Cueva are ranked third).

Sandia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for La Cueva, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Sandia has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Capital on the 15th. As for La Cueva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Eldorado on the 15th.
