Baseball Recap: Waukee Takes a Loss

After flying high against Johnston on Monday, Waukee came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Northwest Wolves by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2025.

Waukee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Waukee beat the Wolves by a score of 3-2 later that day.
