Basketball Recap: Nelson Island Islanders vs. Emmonak Huskies
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Nelson Island Islanders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Emmonak by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42.
Nelson Island found their leader in underclassman Kelsey Angaiak, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebecca Tulik, who scored eight points.
Nelson Island's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Emmonak, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Nelson Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Emmonak also has no future games currently scheduled.
