Palatine is 8-2 against Hoffman Estates since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pirates will host the Hawks at 4:45 p.m. Palatine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Palatine proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Elk Grove.

Toby Peterson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Jett Greiwe was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Hoffman Estates fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Buffalo Grove on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bison by a score of 5-4. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Palatine's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Hoffman Estates, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-19.

Everything went Palatine's way against Hoffman Estates when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Palatine made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
