Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridge Spring-Monetta). They snuck past the Horse Creek Academy Stallions with a 69-63 victory on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-64 back in January.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Briston Matthews, who posted 23 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Matthews a new career-high in points. Malik Fuller was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds.

Ridge Spring-Monetta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Walls, who had 20 points. Another player making a difference was RJ Patrick, who earned 14 points.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-16. As for Horse Creek Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Ridge Spring-Monetta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-40 loss against Calhoun County on the 12th. As for Horse Creek Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-65 win against Blackville-Hilda on the 13th.
