Jontere Sanders posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out four batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Sanders' strong effort led Clairton over Monessen and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds are limping into the matchup having lost 15 straight at home dating back to last season.
