Basketball Recap: Oglethorpe County Comes Up Short

Oglethorpe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 57-26 loss at the hands of the Providence Christian Academy Storm. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Oglethorpe County's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Providence Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Oglethorpe County and Providence Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Patriots see the court they'll take on Stephens County at 7:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Providence Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Landmark Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 10, 2026.
