Basketball Recap: Narragansett Comes Up Short

Narragansett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Middletown Islanders. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (57), the Mariners still had to take the loss.

Narragansett's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Middletown, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Narragansett will welcome East Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chariho at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
