Volleyball Recap: Rockmart Takes a Loss

Rockmart was the 2-0 winner over Alexander when they last played one another back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Tuesday.

Amazia Christopher paced Rockmart's offense, picking up four kills. Christopher got some help from Briley Malone and her five assists. Christopher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rockmart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Alexander, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Rockmart will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Douglas County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alexander, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Paulding County on the 12th.
