Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame lost against Red Bank back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Bank Lions. The Fighting Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Notre Dame still got an impressive performance from Gaas Herman, who posted 26 points. That was a full 56.5% of Notre Dame's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Walt Wagnon, who had eight points.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Red Bank, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will take on Baylor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Bank, they will square off against Soddy Daisy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
