Basketball Recap: Pebblebrook Triumphs

Pebblebrook had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Decatur Bulldogs 73-71.

Defeat or not, Decatur got some senior leadership from Bryce Howson and Tobias Brinkley Jr.. Howson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Brinkley Jr. dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Jason Welborn, who posted 16 points.

Pebblebrook will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kell at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Decatur, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-45 victory against Paideia on the 11th.
