Volleyball Recap: Brophy College Prep Takes Down Ranked Casteel

Brophy College Prep faced Casteel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Broncos skirted past the Colts 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Broncos have posted since March 11th.

Jude Keane was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted over his last 11 matchups. Evan Caplan also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Despite the defeat, Casteel saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Will Schneiderman had ten digs and one assist.

Brophy College Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Casteel, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9-1.

Brophy College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against O'Connor on the 29th. As for Casteel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Chandler on the 1st.
