AA Region 2 recap Nov. 7, 2012

Vidalia extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 2 this week by beating Toombs County, 41-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Bryan County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Metter.

Vidalia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dejarius Mincey threw for 84 yards and Will Chomskis had 41 yards receiving. On the ground Juan Foster chipped in 202 yards. Jordan Black helped Vidalia's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.

Lee Chomskis' team's Mincey and Chomskis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Mincey has thrown for 698 yards this season, while Chomskis has 20 catches for 271 yards. The Bulldogs' Jamar Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 1348.

A big matchup in AA Region 2 this week will be when McIntosh County Academy takes on Benedictine. The Buccaneers are in second place, while the Cadets are in third place.
