Baseball Recap: Whiteoak Drops Highest Score of Season Against North Adams

Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Adams Green Devils. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring game to date.

Jonah Michael was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Michael was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Christian Hite and Carson Airy stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hite went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Airy went 3-for-6 with two RBI and one double. Isaiah Cliff also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Whiteoak's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Adams, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Whiteoak didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Fayetteville-Perry on the 2nd. North Adams has also already played their next contest (against Piketon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
