Football Recap: Baker Skates Past Central with Ease

Baker strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Central Jaguars to the tune of 41-6. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Justice Baldwin had an outrageously good game as he threw for 244 yards and four TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing, and also rushed for 48 yards and one score. Baldwin is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Riley Renfro was another key player, picking up 179 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Baker's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Austin Stanley, Juan Sanchez, and Harley Steele, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Baker's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Baker wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 29-20 victory against Jay on the 12th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 46-8 loss against Northview on the 12th.
