Softball Recap: Battle Ground Academy Takes a Loss

If Battle Ground Academy was riding high fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Providence Christian Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 10-1 to the Riverdale Warriors on Monday.

Khloe Burton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.

Battle Ground Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Riverdale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Battle Ground Academy will take on Lawson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lightning have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. Riverdale has already played their next match (against Lincoln County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
