Baseball Recap: Milpitas Trojans vs. Branham Bruins

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Milpitas and Branham meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Milpitas Trojans fell just short of the Branham Bruins by a score of 4-2. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Hugo Garay was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.
